YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS STUDY PROGRAM IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FOLLOWING MBKM AT SEMARANG STATE UNIVERSITY

In February 2021, students from Yogyakarta State University, S1 Electrical Engineering study program participated in the Merdeka Learning Campus program launched by Nadiem Anwar Makarim, the Minister of Education and Culture in 2020 in order to prepare high education graduates who are resilient in facing change. Both social, cultural, work world and technological changes are accelerating in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, as stated in the regulations regarding the MBKM Program in Permendikbud Number 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education Article 18. The regulation states that undergraduate students allowed to choose a maximum of 3 semesters of study outside the study program. In this case, Electrical Engineering students take part in the MBKM student exchange with Semarang State University.
This activity was followed by sending representatives of 10 Electrical Engineering students from UNY to Semarang State University and 10 representatives of Electrical Engineering students from UNNES to UNY. The courses taken by both of them are Control Systems Subject. This activity was highly appreciated by both parties, so that the relationship between Yogyakarta State University and Semarang State University can be maintained even though student exchange activities are carried out online / online. According to one of the student representatives from YSU who was involved, said that this activity could be a place to exchange ideas and get to know teaching methods between one university and another.
